Wesley Gets Shocked By Del. Valley

Wesley football opened up their season with a shocking loss at home Friday night to Delaware Valley 21-14. The loss drops the Wolverines to 0-1.

Wesley would get on the board first after they capped off a long drive with a touchdown run by Jamar Baynard. The Rams didn’t wait very long to fire back though after Dashawn Darden found Michael Jensen for a score. After a punt by the Wolverines, Del. Valley would take the lead off a short touchdown run by Darden. Eventually in the second quarter the Wolverines would be able to tie the game off a touchdown pass from Dan Kesack to Bryce Shade. But the Rams would answer with a score of their own after Tyler Bing punched one in from 3 yards out. Del. Valley would take a 7 point lead into halftime, and shut the Wolverines out in the second half for the win.

Wesley returns to work on September 10th when they host Frostburg St.
