UPDATED: Man reportedly arrested for July car robberies

On August 18, a deputy from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office reportedly arrested an 18-year-old for his connection in a string of car robberies.

Officials say that Brandon Michael Greathouse, 18, of Rhodesdale, was charged in connection with a string of breaking and entering in to cars and residences during July.

According to the report, Greathouse was charged with:

  • 5 counts of being a rogue and a vagabond
  • 2 counts of burglary to steal firearms
  • 5 counts of fourth degree burglary
  • 3 counts of theft over $500
  • 5 counts of theft under $500
  • Third degree burglary
  • Conspiracy to commit a theft scheme under $300

Officials say he was ordered held on $285,000 bond.

Also, on August 31, the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office reportedly asked for help with serving additional charges on Greathouse for his involvement with several theft’s in Caroline County.

According to the report, a deputy from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office served charges of:

  • 16 counts of theft under $100.00
  • 12 counts of being a rogue and a vagabond
  • 3 counts of fourth degree burglary to commit theft
  • Fourth degree burglary of a storehouse
  • 2 counts of theft under $1,000.00

So, officials say Greathouse was ordered Held on an additional $300,000 bond,

The two Sheriff’s Office’s apparently combined resources to conduct the investigation, which resulted in a successful resolution.
