UPDATE: Traffic stop leads to arrest of three following August shooting

Members of the US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force with Dover Police and Delaware Probation and Parole say they arrested three men following a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the report, around 3PM, officers stopped a maroon/burgundy SUV in the area of Leipsic Road and North DuPont Highway when it was learned that Corey Harris, 21, was in the car.  

Officials knew that Harris was wanted for a shooting incident that happened on August 31 on River Road in Dover.

Officers found Harris to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun when taken into custody, and the front seat passenger, Hakeem Gibson, 21, was also found to possess a loaded 9mm handgun with an extended magazine and 10 bags of heroin.

Officials say that the driver, Jamel Littlepage,22, had a loaded 9mm handgun and 28.7 grams of marijuana under the driver seat of the vehicle.

After further searching the car, officers report that they found 9.1 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, and one bag of heroin.

All three suspects were taken into custody without incident.

As a result of the incident, the suspects were charged with the following offenses:

Corey Harris:

• Possession with intent to deliver marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Three counts of possession of firearm by person prohibited
• Reckless endangering
• Possession of heroin
• Conspiracy 2nd degree
• Criminal mischief
• Possession of firearm during commission of felony
• Local fugitive

 
Jamel Littlepage:

• Possession with intent to deliver marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of firearm by person prohibited
• Two counts of reckless endangering
• Possession of heroin
• Conspiracy 2nd degree

Hakeem Gibson:

• Possession with intent to deliver marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Three counts of possession of firearm by person prohibited
• Reckless endangering
• Possession of heroin
• Conspiracy 2nd degree
