UPDATE: ‘Natalie Strong’ bracelets raise 900 dollars

More than 900 dollars have been raised from the sale of bracelets printed in memory of a Tyaskin teen.

Natalie Insley, 17, was killed in early August following a crash on Sharptown Road.

James M. Bennett High School (‘JMB’), where Natalie would have been a senior, has been selling bracelets which read “Natalie Strong” on one side and “Clippers Choose Love” on another side.

Proceeds are going toward Tyler Ennis, a Hebron teen also involved in the crash, and currently recovering at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore.

Erin Davis, a teacher at JMB, says bracelets sold out about a week and a half after they started selling them.

The bracelets were designed by Natalie’s closet friends and printed in teal and coral, her favorite colors.

Davis tells 47ABC the funds will be delivered to be Tyler’s family next week.

The school has now started selling “Natalie Strong” t-shirts. Those proceeds will benefit a local family who reportedly lost their son, a Bennett graduate from the class of 2013.

Davis says there is a fundraiser planned for Natalie, given by Red Roost.  The event is October 29.
