Jordan Park Johnson of Deal Island, and Korey Taylor Bratten of Salisbury

According to police, around 12 o’clock, troopers responded to a home on Charles Cannon Road in Marion Station for a report of stolen checks.

When they arrived at the scene, they reportedly learned that someone stole two checks out of a person’s checkbook. The victim reportedly found out about the stolen checks when PNC Bank called and told them that on August 13, a man had tried to cash one of his/her $400 checks. The check was reportedly made out to Kyle Bratten. The bank also reportedly said that a $500 check was cashed on August 8. The checks were reportedly cashed at two separate PNC Bank locations in Salisbury.

On August 17, police say a subpoena was sent to PNC Bank for video surveillance of the checks being cashed. On September 7, investigators reportedly got the surveillance, and it reportedly showed that a Jordan Park Johnson of Deal Island was cashing the victim’s check that was worth $500.  The video surveillance from August 13 reportedly showed Korey Taylor Bratten of Salisbury trying to cash the victim’s $400 check.

Authorities say, on September 9, Jordan Johnson was arrested, and transported to the Commissioner’s office. He was reportedly ordered to be held on $50,000 bond.

Police say, on September 13, Korey Bratten was arrested, and transported to the District Court Commissioners office and reported to be held on $30,000 bond.
