Sussex Tech’s Brown Runs Wild In Win Over AI DuPont

Sussex Tech got their season started off with a band Thursday night in the DFRC Kickoff Classic as they stormed past AI DuPont 61-20. Isaiah Brown would finish with a career night, rushing for around 300 yards and 7 touchdowns, helping the Ravens to a 1-0 start on the year.

The Ravens would open the game by returning the kickoff all the way down to the 5 yard line. Three plays later, Brown would punch one in from just a yard out to give his team the lead. The Tigers would respond with a fumble recovery they took to the house to take a 7-6 advantage. But it was all Ravens after that. Brown would cap off a long drive with a 11 yard touchdown run to the right side off a sweep. Then after a turnover by the Tigers, Brown would break loose for a 50 yard score for his 3rd of the game. Edward Cropper was a menace on defense, coming up with several sacks for the Ravens. Then Christian Littleton would come up with a pick at the goal line to give the ball back to Brown would break loose for a 73 yard score this time to break the game wide open. The Tigers would drive down the field and get a short touchdown pass, but Brown just kept on coming. He would take his team down to the 1 before punching it in for his 6th TD of the first half. The defense did the rest as Tech would roll to the win.

Sussex Tech returns to work a week from Friday when they host Indian River.
