Sussex County is hosting its annual homebuyer fair

Sussex County, along with the Delaware State Housing Authority, Sussex County Association of REALTORS®, First State Community Action Agency, and NCALL Research Inc., will host the third annual Sussex County Homebuyer Fair on September 24.
The event will take place from 9 AM to 1 PM, and will be held inside the Carter Partnership Center at Delaware Technical Community College, Owens Campus in Georgetown.
Organizers say the event is free, open to the public, and is designed to match potential homebuyers with housing counselors, lenders and other resources that are available to help put would-be buyers in their own homes.
Vendors will also apparently be featured at the event, in order to show their products and services.
Organizers note that pre-registration is strongly encouraged because then attendees will be able to get a free copy of their credit reports while at the fair.
“The past two events have been very well-received, giving vendors and more than 150 potential home buyers a chance to connect,” said Brandy Nauman, housing coordinator for the County’s Community Development & Housing office said.
“Buying a home, for any income bracket, can be a confusing and overwhelming experience. The goal of the Homebuyer Fair is to take some of the stress out of the home-buying experience, especially for first-time buyers, by matching them with resources in a welcoming, one-stop-shop setting.”
