SU Opens Stadium With Big Win Over Albright

The Salisbury University football team opened up their new stadium with an impressive win Friday night when they topped Albright 34-18. The Sea Gulls improved to 1-0 on the year.

SU would open the game in fine fashion, as Sean Rowland would take the kickoff 92 yards the other way for the score. Connor Canonico would then add a short touchdown run later in the first as the Gulls would take a 14-3 advantage. Albright would add a score to climb within 4 at the break, before the Sea Gulls would begin to separate in the second half. Ryan Jones would have back to back touchdown runs in the 3rd quarter as SU pulled away. The Sea Gulls would ice the game with a Canonico touchdown run in the 4th quarter.

SU returns to work on September 17th when they host Montclair St.
