Highlights from today's games.

back i’m coming to you live from washington high school, because in just about 45 minutes.. football is finally back here on the shore its opening day for a bunch for all of our maryland teams just behind me you can see the jaguars warming up as they are gearing up for their opener as they are set to host bennett. i have been waiting on this day it feels like all summer, but thankfully, it’s finally here and as you we have been getting you ready for the season, we have done our high school football tour from each of our teams here on the shore well 26 teams down, and just 1 to go today we finish off our previews by making a trip over to dover to check in on the capital city kids, as the senators gear up for what they hope to be a bounce back year. dover entered the 2015 season with high hopes… with one the top quarterbacks in the state.. and team full of potential nat pop but all that, resulted in just a 4-6 record.. and a new head coach headed into this year “it does feel like a new team, because he brought a lot to us. ya know, as far as he is very organized, he is bringing a lot for us to accomplish this year. to make us go a little further this year, than we did last year.” coach simientti’s rebuild project is already in effect.. and believes the first part was getting the team to leave last years disappointments behind them “i’m really looking towards now, here. this season and into the future. and if we do our thing, and take care of business in practice. we’ll be alright this year. we will be a competitive football team, that i can cell you.” the senators have undergone a few big changes this year. the team moves on from 1st-team all-conference selection triston harris.. who’s now playing for towson… and onto jordan mcgee “he’s shown a lot during the off season, during the summer season. uh, weight training-wise, and on the field work.. he showed us a lot, that he can handle the position wise.” “nothing but growth. i think jordan is a heck of an athlete. ya know when we started back in june, in camp, in mini camp, ya know, ti was like his first day every playing quarterback, and that is like the toughest position to play in all of sports, and he has come along tremendously.” defensively dover has shaken it up as well, transitioning from a 4-3 to a 4-4. “every team is like a running team, so basically we have to stop the run, but also be aware of passes, so i mean, i think that 4-4 will be very good for us, and work very well for us.” dover opens up their season on september 9th when they travel to play at woodbridge as for what you can look forward to tonight beside this game i got going on behind me parkside opens up their season at home as they take on snow hill, while cambridge is at home, facing off agianst wi-hi colonel will look to earn a tough home win as they take on kent island, while easton will battle it out with north caroline game of the night might be in centreville where queen anne’s takes on kent county and a couple college games as well as s-u and wesley have their season openers at home we’ll be at each of those games, and have rll highlights for oyu later on tonight that’s it for sports – more news and weather straight ahead. stay with us. catch more of the action on our sports page
