practice scheduled for today, but it actually turned out to be a pretty special day for the squad. yeah not everyday d3 college players can say they had an nfl player come by their practice now, granted, callahan is a former teammate and friend of most of these players, but still pretty cool. former wesley quarterback and current green bay packer paid the wolverines a visit today. the packers are on a bye week, giving callahan the chance to return to his old stomping grounds. the wolverines are currently 1-2. they hit the road to face southern virginia on saturday at 1 pm. to toronto, the orioles in their all important series with the blue jays. tonight a must win for the os bottom of the first, one on one out, and the pick off throw from chris tillman gets away from chris davis at first, ezequial carrera races around.. takes second.. takes third, and he’s safe. same at bat… edwin encanacioinskies this one deep to left center, jones with the catch on the warning track for the our, but carrera tages up and scores from third on the play. to the bootom of the second, runers on the corners, one out, kevin pillar flies out to left, and troy tulowitzki tags up and scores, and its 2-0 blue jays. but fear not o’s fans, the birds battled back to take this thing 3-2… and tomorrow lies another must-win ballgame. sticking with some baseball tim tebow made a huge impression on the football world as as a heisman trophy winner and two time national champion quarterback at the universtiy of florida. after dabbling a bit in the nfl, tebow is once again a professional athlete- of sorts. the new york mets signed the 29 year old to their instructional league in florida, and what do you know. he hits a homerun in his very first at bat as a pro baseball player. off the first pitch no less. tebow hopes that success this fall will carry over to consideration once spring training rolls around. a few games around the shore were postponed today due to weather, but parkside was still able to play host to stephen decatur today. theres john ford firing a shot from way out, but the rams come up with the stop.. then noah o’barsky with the pass to danny arroyo-flores, nice pivot here to square up to the goal, but his shot goes wide of the left post. patrick temple, inbounds it, founds o’barsky who comes up with the header but the rams can’t capitalize on offense, as seawaks keeper noah shockley comes up with the stop. rams still on offense. moving the ball in, but john ford with the header to keep parkside from getting something going. decatur took this one 1-0 that’s it for sports. we’ll wrap things up after the break. keep it right here — you’re watching 47 abc! catch more of the action on our sports page at 47abc.com hairstyles brought to you by designer’s edge
