Snow Hill man arrested after foot pursuit

A deputy from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office recognized and arrested man wanted for failure to appear in court.
Around 6:45 PM on Monday, a deputy was on patrol around Dighton Avenue and Cypress Road in Snow Hill. Officials say that the deputy was able to recognize a man as Glenn Hamilton Harmon, 52, of Snow Hill, and knew that he has two active Circuit Court warrants for failing to appear in court.
The deputy was also aware that Harmon allegedly led the Snow Hill Police Department and Worcester County Sheriff’s Office on pursuits to avoid being brought in.
According to the report, Harmon saw the deputy and ran away even though the deputy repeatedly told him to stop.
Harmon eventually was caught, placed under arrest, and taken to the Worcester County Detention Center.
He was apparently held on no bond for both of his warrants, and an additional criminal summons was issued charging Harmon with obstruction of justice, fail to obey a lawful order, and resisting arrest.
