SBY Fridays at Five is back September 23

SBY Fridays at five is back September 23 from 5-7PM in Downtown Salisbury.

Organizers say the block of N. Division Street between Main Street and Church Street will be cordoned off to make way for cornhole, can jam and other games in the street.

Local beer and wine selections will also be available, and there will be live music by Tops Cut Off Productions.

This week, SBY Friday at Five is happening at the same time as Salisbury University’s Feature Fridays at The Brick Room. This is a monthly series which highlights Salisbury University’s finest faculty and staff, with a new guest speaker the last Friday of every month. So, this month’s Feature Friday is a highlight on Dr. John Wesley Wright, voice professor and tenor.

Several downtown restaurants will be open with special events and hours:

  • Olde Towne Deli will be open until 7pm
  • Headquarters Live will have Dueling Pianos
  • Brew River will have live music at the Dock Bar by the Bo Dickerson Band from 6pm-10pm and DJ B-Side late night
  • Roadie Joes will have great dinner specials and live music by Dust N Bones
  • Market Street Inn will have live music late night by DJ Juan
  • Mojos will have DJ SO, spinning all your favorites

Mayor Day said “Our community has fallen in love with 3rd Fridays. As Downtown becomes a part of everyone’s life again, we want every visit to Downtown to be filled with activity. With Fridays at Five, any visit to Downtown or worker leaving Downtown at the end of their week will always find a celebration in the streets every Friday evening.”
