Salisbury Zoo looking for sponsors for Halloween Happening

The Salisbury Zoo says that they are looking for sponsors for their biggest Halloween event.

According to Zoo officials, Halloween Happening is an event for families who may not want a scary Halloween event. By taking away the fear factors and providing more of a festival atmosphere, zoo officials give a safe Halloween alternative to families with little kids. Over 2500 reportedly attended the event last year, and this year “Salisbury Zoo’s Not So Scary Halloween Happening” will occur on two Saturdays, October 15 and October 22 from 1PM-4PM/.

Parents will have the opportunity to join their children and still have time to trick or treat with their older children. The zoo says that they will give a safe, family-oriented Halloween experience to the community. Attendants are educated and entertained tricked and treated throughout the event, and the event benefits the  community and the Zoo.

The zoo says they are looking for sponsors to help cover the event. Officials say, sponsors are able to choose from several levels and a variety of combinations to best serve their marketing needs., and discounts will be available.

Event Sponsors also will have the ability to promote their organization while officials provide candy.  Officials say, the Zoo’s education department counts on program fees, grants and donations.

Zoo officials say people who are interested should call, Mary Seemann at 443-944-0357, or go to their website for sponsor opportunities.
