Salisbury Zoo closed Thursday due to flood conditions

All of the rain and flooding that hit Delmarva Wednesday night into Thursday caused the Salisbury Zoo to close on Thursday.
For preventative measures, officials say they’ve relocated a few animals whose yards were close to river, but most are ok In their regular habitats. As for the bear and jaguar, they’ve been placed in their holding spaces.
Zoo director Ralph Piland says the main reason the zoo was closed was because of all the standing water and debris that had been blown all over the pathways. Piland says they will be monitoring the Zoo over night and will re-evaluate on Friday.
