Salisbury University unveils new Sea Gull Stadium features

Friday night 47 ABC was on hand for the unveiling of the new field at Salisbury’s Sea Gull stadium.

The ribbon was cut before the first home game of the season, as Salisbury football faced off against Albright.

The new artificial field is made up of 35,000 lbs. of new turf fiber over 400,000 lbs. of sand, and 360,000 lbs. of rubber.

The stadium also received a new video sign and scoreboard funded by the University.

If you are wondering where the old debris went, University officials say most of it was recycled.
