Reported prostitution investigation leads to 17 arrests in Salisbury

Police say they have arrested 17 people in connection with a five month long prostitution investigation in Salisbury.

According to Salisbury Police, from May until September 2016, the department’s Safe Street Team began getting various complaints related to prostitution activities in Salisbury. Because of that, police say they began a long term investigation into the prostitution complaints that resulted in multiple arrests not only for prostitution, but for having illegal drugs.

During the month of May, Salisbury Police say they started their investigation into local prostitution that was being held through multiple online websites. Police say they also found that offenders were meeting up at area hotels to exchange money for sex. Police say they intercepted the suspects and determined their intentions through more investigation.

The arrests include 19-year-old Destiny Revel, 27-year-old Tiffany Abitua, 20-year-old Jasmine Jones, 27-year-old Jami Beach, 31-year-old Jennifer Parker, 36-year-old Laura Cooper, 59-year-old John Parket, 31-year-old Trey Jackson, 41-year-old Russell Griffith, 35-year-old Derrick Hilbert, 37-year-old Colin Hester, 45-year-old Tracy Gray, 43-year-old Christopher Hankerson, 33-year-old David Gray, 28-year-old Samantha Reed, and 25-year-old Robert Nickerson.
