Rams Football Tops Rival Wi-Hi With Big Second Half

The Parkside football team used a big second half Friday night to earn a road win against cross town rival Wi-Hi 28-8 the final. The Rams improved to 2-1 on the year with the win, while the Indians dropped to 2-1.

Parkside would take a early 6-0 lead off a Dajour Church would run in a short touchdown run. They would take that lead into halftime, before the Indians came out firing in the second half. Jason Patterson would score off a Qb keeper from a yard out, then connect on his 2pt conversion attempt to give the Tribe a 8-7 lead. The Rams would take over from there though after Andrew Smith would find Simeyon Mmford for a deep touchdown strike. Parkside then got back to back short touchdown runs from Church and Davis Ingley to close out the game.

Parkside returns to work on Friday when they travel to Colonel Richardson, while Wi-Hi host North Caroline on Friday.
