Queen Anne’s Football Rolls To Road Win At Washington

The Queen Anne’s football team picked up another road win Friday night when they defeated Washington 49-7. The win improves the Lions to 3-0, while the loss drops the Jaguars to 0-3.

The Jaguars came out fired up from the opening kickoff, forcing a fumble and recovering it deep in Lions territory. They would cap off the drive with a short touchdown run off the right side from backup quarterback Eric Ballard. The Lions would fire right back as they marched down the field and finished off their drive with a touchdown run from Jykel Gardner. Shortly after that, the Lions started connecting on home run plays. Quarterback Mike D’Angelo would air one deep down the field and find his tight end Tyler Bonner for a touchdown strike. Very next possession, D’Angelo connected to CJ Rogers for another score. D’Angelo then had his 3rd long touchdown of the half as he aired one down the left sideline for Wyatt Pinder for another deep score. The defense would do the rest from there as they rolled to the win.

Queen Anne’s returns to work on Friday when they travel to Sussex Central, while Washington travels to Snow Hill on Friday.
