Post blast explosion under investigation

The Office of the State Fire Marshal says it is currently investigation a post blast explosion that happened Tuesday morning in Centreville.
Officials say that the incident happened around 10:50 AM at an interior work garage, when a 55 gallon drum/barrel exploded while being cut in half.
A co-worker apparently saw the blast, called it in, and the Goodwill Volunteer Fire Department and Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services responded.
According to the report, the victim was critically injured, sustaining facial/head trauma from the incident.
Apparently it took 10 firefighters about 10 minutes at the scene before the victim was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment.
Officials say that the preliminary cause of the blast is under investigation.
