Police reminding drivers of potential hydroplaning Monday in Milford

Police are reminding drivers to be extra careful on Monday for street flooding.
Milford Police says as drain grates have trouble keeping up with the amount of rainfall happening Monday, motorists should use extra caution.
Police say, minor street flooding is happening by the edges of some streets and it can cause hydroplaning, which is when a car’s tire cannot channel water out of its path and rides up on top of the water, taking away the ability to steer or brake.
Police say this can cause crashes, so they are also reminding drivers to slow down and keep an eye out for standing water so that everyone driving can be safe on Monday.
