Peninsula Regional Medical Center earns the national 2016 Excellence Award

Peninsula Regional Medical Center, or known as PRMC, has earned the 2016 national Excellence Award from the National Research Corporation.
Only two hospitals in the nation have earned this honor.
PRMC was honored for being the top performer for the Overall Hospital Rating for in-patient units for the most improved medium-sized hospital, meaning a bed count between 100-300 beds.
NRC selects recipients based on their achievement in categories that patients have identified as being most important to the quality of their care.
These ratings are based on patients satisfaction surveys that were taken this past year.
As a 2016 award recipient, PRMC says they are a group of healthcare innovators leading the way on the path to patient-centered care.
PRMC’s Director of the Nursing Practice, Nancy Flurer, was one of the members to receive the award at the 22nd annual NRC symposium in San Diego, California.
The director says that after attending the symposium, they are now meeting next week to make an all inclusive list on how to continue to strive in certain areas and to talk about new approaches that they can take to continue improving.
