One local boy scout troop hosts a flag retirement ceremony

On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, the Salisbury boy scout Troop 176 disposed of flags that are no longer serviceable anymore through a flag retirement ceremony.
They are either worn, tattered, torn, or not portrayed in the proper condition. These flags were donated from the community for the ceremony to properly retire these flags with dignity.
The scout master assistant, Tim Robinson, told 47 ABC that our American flags should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by the act of burning.
Robinson explains that people should not just throw them away because that is very disrespectful to the flag.
He says there is the proper way to honorably dispose and retire an American flag and Troop 176 did just that.
