Milford man sentenced on drug charges in Kent County

A Milford man who was arrested in September on drug charges pleaded guilty and was sentenced Tuesday in Kent County.

According to Delaware officials, 28-year-old Jimmy Artis of Milford,  plead guilty to one count of drug dealing and was then sentenced to one year of probation.

Before part of Artis’s sentencing was suspended, he was previously sentenced to eight years in prison.

Police reportedly conducted a drug sales investigation in September where Artis was then arrested and charged with two counts of manufactures, delivers, or possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
