officials are required to go county to county — to seek input on their specific needs. and today — three lower shore counties on the eastern shore – got their chance. mdot officials were in worcester, wicomico, and somerset counties today — during the meetings — transportation officials sought input — on governor hogan’s 6-year 14-billion dollar transportation plan. officials touted the projects currently ongoing — like the salisbury bypass – and the pocomoke city bridge. as far as why the input on future projects — the answer is quite simple. governor hogan is very interested in hearing from local leaders on what their priorities are for their community and the counties that they serve. as for the rest of the eastern shore counties — officials are set to visit queen anne’s, caroline, talbot, and dorchester counties in november.
