Maryland teen facing charges after allegedly threatening two schools

Authorities in Queen Anne’s County say a teen is facing charges after he made threats to two area schools.

Authorities with the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office say law enforcement was notified that a student had apparently made threats against Queen Anne’s County High School and Sudlersville Middle School Monday morning through the social media app Snap Chat. Authorities identified the suspect as Anthony Butler III, 18, of Chestertown.

Butler is facing multiple charges, including two counts of arson threat and two counts of school disruption. After being charged, Butler was released from custody.

According to online court documents, he is due in court next month.
