Laurel traffic stop leads to drug bust

In Laurel, police say a traffic stop lead to the discovery of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, heroin, marijuana and cash.
On Sunday,  Laurel police conducted a traffic stop in the area of E. 4th Street and King Street.

28-year-old Katie Dilworth of Laurel, was speaking to the officer when an odor of burnt marijuana was detected. Officers then searched the vehicle finding 2.9 grams of heroin, 15 bags of heroin, a marijuana cigarette,  0.5 grams powder cocaine and $1270.00 in cash.

Dilworth was transported to Laurel PD where 18.1 grams of crack cocaine were discovered in her possession.

According to police, Dilworth was charged with Drug Dealing/ Possession with the intent to deliver Crack Cocaine in Tier 3 quantity, Drug Dealing/ Possession with the intent to deliver Heroin in a Tier 2 quantity, Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Powder Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was also charged with Driving with a Suspended License and Driving without a seatbelt fastened.

She is currently being held at Sussex Corrections after failure to post $84,000 cash only bond.
