Kent Island Football Stuns North Caroline Late

The Kent Island football team took a shocker of a game Friday night when they defeated North Caroline 21-14, after they returned a blocked field goal attempt late for the go-ahead touchdown. The win improves the Buccaneers to 3-0, while the loss drops the Bulldogs to 2-1.
The Buc’s would take the lead early after Sean Mooney would take a pass up the right sideline in for the score. Shortly after that, North Caroline would return a fumble for a score to tie the game up, before David Bailey Jr. would score on a short touchdown run up the middle to give the home team the lead. The Bucs would fight their way back for a short touchdown run from Ryan Austin to tie the game up. North Caroline would march down the field and line up for the potential go-ahead field goal late, before the kick was blocked and returned 85 yards the other way by Braden Doyle as they would hold on for the incredible win.
Kent Island returns to work on Friday when they travel to Stephen Decatur, while North Caroline travels to Wi-Hi on Friday.
