Kent Island Field Hockey Earns Huge Conference Win At Queen Anne’s

The Kent Island field hockey team earned a huge Bayside North win Wednesday afternoon when they defeated rival Queen Anne’s 2-1. The win improves the Buccaneers to 4-0, while the loss drops the Lions to 2-1.
The Buccaneers would jump out to an early lead after getting a pair of goals from Celina Kaufman. The defense would then lock in for Kent Island as Hope Wobbe came up with a couple nice saves in goal. The Lions though would find a way to finally break through after Kaitlin Kams would come up with the ball in the box off a break away, and be able to slam it into the back of the cage. The defense would close the game from there for the Bucs though as they were able to hold on for the win.
Queen Anne’s returns to action on Thursday when they travel to play at Washington, while Kent Island host Washington on Monday.
