Home fire in Marion Station under investigation

Members of the Office of the State Fire Marshal say they are investigating a single-family home fire that happened on Wednesday.

Around 8:50PM, one of the occupants noticed the flames coming from the front bedroom, and called it in.

About 30 firefighters from the Marion Station FD controlled the blaze in about 15 minutes, and no injures or arrests were reported.

The home is described as a one story, wood frame, single family home, located on Charles Cannon Road in Marion Station. The estimated loss was reported at $10,000.

Officials say that smoke alarms were present, but not activated. According to the report, the preliminary cause of the fire is under investigation.
