Hermine’s impact on Ocean City businesses

As Hermine made a bit of an appearance on the Eastern Shore this labor day weekend, many local businesses were hoping for the best during what is normally an important three days of business.

It may have seem that the weather would put a negative effect on weekend sales but 47 ABC spoke to some businesses. From what we were told, it did not put a damper on any sales.

A staffer at Blu Crabhouse and Raw Bar said that they were slammed all weekend long.

At the Quiet Storm Surf Shop, business may have even seen a boost.

A worker at the surf shop explained that everyone was off the beach which led to beachgoers doing more shopping. Since no one could go in the water and a bit of the weekend was rained on, vacationers and residents headed indoors.
