Gov. Markell will sign bill to improve autism services

Delaware is looking to improve treatment and support services for residents living in Delaware through new legislation. Senate Bill 93 is expected to be signed by Governor Markell this week.
The law is expected to create a state-wide resource center which will be called the Delaware Network of Excellence in Autism. Officials from Autism Delaware tell 47 ABC that is where people will be trained to work with people who are living with autism.
They also tell us by using evidence-based practice and educating and training more people who work with people who have autism such as medical providers, families, and school districts can overall improve autism services.
