Boy Scouts honor flag ceremony

victims on that day– one local boy scout troop has planned on honoring them through a different way. yesterday, troop one seventy six from salisbury are disposing of flags that are no longer serviceable anymore– through a flag retirement ceremony. they are either worn, tattered, torn or not portrayed in the proper condition. these flags were donated from the community for the ceremony to properly retire these flags with dignity. the scout master assistant tells us that our american flags should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by the act of burning– and he explains what people should not do to the flags. a lot of people think they can throw the flag away, that is a big no no. that is very disrespectful to the flag. and this is the proper way to honorably dispose of an american flag that is thrown here to honor our nation. according to the u-s flag code– a national flag that is worn beyond repair may be burned in a fire. the ceremony should be conducted in a fire. the ceremony should be conducted with dignity and respect and the flag burned completely to ashes. coming up in 2 minutes your hollywood headlines –
