Fatal house fire takes the life of four year-old girl

investigators have not offered any new information — 47 abc’s ashonti ford spoke with the girl’s father and a neighbor today. i said i’m on my way baby, i’ll be there tomorrow then we talked a little bit and she saiddad, i love you – bye a couple hours later this happened track that was the last time chris lester talked to his daughter — aariona moore. lester was planning to drive from baltimore to salisbury to see her on saturday — only to learn that there had been a fire on the 300 block of prince street — where she lived. four-year-old aariona died in the fire. neighbors say it started in a shed at the back of the house. aariona had somehow been locked alone inside — when there was an explosion. the whole house was on fire by the time they came here – because it was only the shed when i came out – then by the time the firemen got here it was the whole back track investigators have not said how or why aariona was locked in the shed — nor have they said what type of explosion occurred — no one else was injured in the blaze. grief-stricken family members and friends have been dropping off stuffed animals and hanging balloons on the tree outside of the home to memorialize aariona. her family tells us that she had just graduated pre k with plans to join her other siblings at prince elementary as a kindergartner track meanwhile the american red cross is providing counsel, supplies, and offering lodging to the family members who are now without a place to live. the family tells 47 abc they will be starting a go fund me account to help with funeral costs and finding a new home. ashonti ford, 47 abc councilwoman april jackson rented a storage unit off parsons road for anyone that wants to donate to the family. the storage will be available for two months — we have contact information on our website. meanwhile the cause of the fire remains under investigation by the state fire marshal’s office. authorities in delaware have responded to a crash
