Fatal boating accident in Sussex County

Police are investigating a fatal boating accident in Sussex County that occurred Saturday afternoon in Delaware.
Police say a personal watercraft, or jet ski, was returning to Pot Nets Bayside near Paradise Grill, in the Indian River Bay, when it collided with the bow of a pontoon boat leaving Pot Nets Bay.
The impact of the crash sent the jet ski several feet over the pontoon — before it came down in the water.
Investigators report the jet ski operator, a 78-year-old man from Phoenix, Arizona, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pontoon, a 56-year-old man from Wilmington, was flown to Christina Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.
