Easton Football Takes Shootout Over Parkside

The Easton football team took a wild, high scoring game over Parkside Friday night 49-38. The win improves the Warriors to 1-1, while the loss drops the Rams to 1-1 on the year.
The teams would exchange blows early on while the Warriors were able to take a 21-12 lead into the locker room. Zach Strand would open up the second half with a short touchdown run for the Warriors from a yard out. The Rams would answer with a 61 yards touchdown scamper from Terriq Bivens. Easton would then march down the field for another short touchdown from from Strand. After Parkside got a 5 yard touchdown run from Nayel Oge, the Warriors would work themselves all the way down to the 1 yard line. Stand though would fumble there as Brady Smith would take it 99 yards the other way. But the Warriors would be able to finish off the game. Mason Ledford would have a short touchdown run, followed by a touchdown pass to Matthew Ledford. The defense would close it out from there for a win.
Parkside returns to work on Friday when they host Wi-Hi, while Easton host Decatur on Friday.
