Eastern Shore gets free legal advice clinic

Eastern shore residents looking for legal help for certain civil matters now have a resource. The judiciary walk in center inside of the Wicomico County District Court has their grand opening Friday.

The walk in center offers free legal services for civil matters such as landlord and tenant claims, debt collection, protective orders and expungement cases.

They also can point you in the right direction if you’re unsure if you need representation.

one the things the self help center does really well is they’re able to identify cases that are not appropriate for self representation,” said Lonnie Summers, manager of the Maryland court services center.

The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m.

The Salisbury location marks the third help center opened in Maryland  and the only on the Eastern Shore.
