DSP investigating armed robbery in Magnolia

The Delaware State Police say they are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store that happened on Thursday night.
According to the report, the initial investigation found that the incident happened around 8:30PM, as a man entered the Uncle Sam’s Market on West Birdie Lane in Magnolia.
Officials say that the suspect, armed with a handgun, confronted an employee of the store and demanded money from the register. The clerk apparently complied and turned over some money to the suspect before running to the north side of the store.
The employee was not reported to be injured.
Officials described the suspect as a man, about 5’07” to 5’09” tall, slim build, wearing a hooded jacket and dark pants with his face covered, and armed with an unknown handgun.
This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police, and no video surveillance photos are available to be released at this time.
