Dover Field Hockey’s Offense Explodes Late vs. Sussex Central

The Dover field hockey team picked up a conference win Thursday when they defeated Sussex Central 9-0. The win improves the Senators to 2-1, while the loss drops the Golden Knights to 1-1.

The Senators would grab an early lead in the game after getting a couple scores from Joy Adkins and Mira Prisco. The defense for the Golden Knights would settle in for the rest of the half from there as Morgan Burton came up with a couple nice saves in goal. But with 20 minutes to go in the match, the Senators offense would take off. Ally Manifold would tally three scores, while Ashley Manifold would add one as well as they rolled to the win.

Sussex Central returns to work on Tuesday when they host Sussex Tech, while Dover travels to Cape Henlopen on Tuesday.
