Delmar Field Hockey Post Shutout Over Pocomoke

The Delmar field hockey team stayed perfect on the year after a 7-0 win over Pocomoke Saturday morning. The win improves the Wildcats to 2-0, while the loss drops the Warriors to 0-3.
Delmar would take the lead just over a minute into the game when Peyton Kemp would fire one into the back of the cage. Then in the 8th minute, Ashlyn Carr would be able to take a pass and send it in as well. Kemp and Sasha Adams would both add goals before the half was done to help Delmar to a 4-0 lead at the break. The Wildcats continued to control the ball in the second half and fire shots on goal. Warriors keeper Dom Farrace came up with several athletic, acrobatic saves in goal to help slow Delmars attack. But eventually the Wildcats would be able to finish their opportunities. Kemp would add 2 of the last 3 goals to help close out the match.
Delmar returns to work on Tuesday when they host Caesar Rodney, while Pocomoke host Easton on Wednesday.
