Delaware State Falls to Monmouth 34-20

The Delaware State University Hornets fell to the Monmouth Hawks 34-20 in its home opener.

The Hornets trailed 17-0 at the half.The Hawks got started with a rushing touchdown from Kenji Bahar. Del State found its footing as Jeremiah Williams scored two touchdowns. Hawks quarterback Cody Williams was 15/25, finishing with 127 yards and one TD pass. Kobie Lain was 6/12 for DSU.

DSU hits the road to face Missouri next Saturday.
