Delaware Primary Results 2016

Below are results, from the Delaware Primary on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.
As of 11 PM: All of the districts are now in and this is the end of the unofficial coverage. So, the races that did not declare winners were too close to call at this time. After absentee ballots and other factors are counted, a winner will be declared in the coming days.
Keep in mind that these results are unofficial, and all of the winners have won their political party’s seat, not the actual nomination. The winners will still have to win the official seat in November’s election.

Governor- Republican
Winner: Colin Bonini
Winner will face Congressman John Carney (D), Andrew Groff (G) and Sean Goward (L).
Incumbent is Governor Jack Markell (D).
Markell has held the seat since 2009. He took it from Ruth Ann Minner (D).

State Representative District 35- Republican
Winner: David Wilson
Incumbent is David Wilson (R). He has held the office since 2009.
Winner will face Gary Wolfe (D) in November.

Sate Representative District 14- Democrat
Winner: Peter Schwartzkop
Incumbent is Peter Schwartzkopf (D). He has held the seat since 2003.
He is the current Speaker of the House.
Winner will face James Demartino (R) in November.

Representative in Congress – Democrat
Winner: Lisa Rochester
Incumbent is Congressman John Carney (D) (currently running for Governor).
Carney has held the seat since 2011. Carney took the seat from Congressman Mike Castle (R).
Winner will face Hans Reigle (R), Mark Joseph Perri (G) and Scott Gesty (L) in November.

Winner: Trinidad Navarro

Lt. Governor- Democrat
Winner: Bethany Hall-Long
Current seat is empty, left when Matt Denn (D) became Attorney General in 2015.
Denn took the position from John Carney (D).
Winner will face La Mar T Gunn (R) in November.

Winner: Jeffrey Cragg

State Representative District 33- Kent County- Republican
Winner: Charles Postles
Seat currently held by Harold Peterman (R).
Peterman chose not to seek re-election, he has been in office since 2011.
Winner will face Karen Williams (D) in November.
