‘Dawgs & Clippers Battle To 1-1 Draw in 2OT

The North Caroline boys soccer team and James M. Bennett battled it out Wednesday night with neither team being able to pull out the win, resulting in a 1-1 2OT draw. The Bulldogs and the Clippers both improve to 0-0-1 on the year.

The Clippers would take an early lead before the Bulldogs would draw a penalty in the box, rewarding them with a PK. They would find the back of the net with the ensuing shot, drawing the clubs even at 1-1. From that point on, both defenses anchored down and neither team was able to find the back of the net. Timmy Kerrigan and Luis Flores would both generate a few good scoring opportunities, but all of them would get turned back, including by a bicycle kick clear from Austin Barnes.

Bennett returns to work on Monday when they travel to Washington, while North Caroline host Kent County on Monday.
