Bennett Clips Jags On The Road

The James M. Bennett football team opened up their season with a nice road win at Washington 27-19. The win improves the Clippers to 1-0, while the Jaguars drop to 0-1 on the year.
The teams would be locked in a defensive battle early on. After a scoreless first quarter, the Clippers would get on the board first in the 2nd quarter after a long drive was capped off with a 20 yard touchdown run by Diondre Carter. On the very next play from scrimmage, Anthony Snyder would be back to pass before being pressured and the ball would pop straight up. Ian Hoisington would pick it off and take it to the house for another score. Snyder would make up for it though as on the next drive, he would find Tyler Poulson from 45 yards out for a touchdown strike. The teams continued to exchange blows, but the Clippers were able to hold on to their slim lead throughout for the win.
Bennett returns to action on Friday when they travel to Queen Anne’s, while Washington travels to Kent County on Friday.
