UPDATE: Washington man sentenced after Package with $250K in heroin reportedly intercepted in Dover, one arrested

A quarter of a million dollars worth of heroin is reportedly off the streets of Dover, after a package was apparently intercepted.

Dover Police say on Friday, their Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit, along with the Delaware State Police Drug Unit, and the DEA, wrapped up an investigation into a package of heroin, with an arrest.

Police say their investigation into the parcel that had over 1000 grams of heroin inside, and was mailed to an undisclosed location in Dover, from an undisclosed location on the West Coast. The drugs have a reported street value of $250,000.

Police say they arrested 24-year-old Julio Fuentes, of Washington, after he tried to receive the package. He was charged with possession of heroin – tier 5 quantity, and possession with intent to deliver heroin. He is now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $70,000 cash bond.

Officials say, Fuentes will serve one year in prison unless he violates his probation.
