UPDATE: Troopers continue to investigate zip line death in Bear

Delaware State Police say they are continuing to investigate the death of a 59-year-old woman after she fell from a platform at the Lums Pond State Park.

The incident reportedly happened on Wednesday, when Tina Werner, 59, of Felton,  was on the Go Ape Aerial Rope Adventure Course in the Lums Pond State Park.

According to the report, Werner was standing on a platform about 35 feet above the ground, waiting to descend on a zip line, and it was at this point that she fell from the platform to the ground.

Officials say that first aid and advanced life-saving efforts were given to Werner by Go Ape employees as well as Park Rangers, she was treated by New Castle County Paramedics, and finally was taken to the Christiana Hospital by ambulance where she was pronounced dead.

Her body was reportedly turned over to the Division of Forensic Sciences where an autopsy will be performed.

According to the report, the investigation into this incident is still on-going at this time, however, foul play is not suspected.
