been reinstated. 47 abc was notified on friday that chief dvorak had been placed on administrative leave — until further notice. it wasn’t until this afternoon that we learned this all stemmed from concerns about equipment the chief had been using — in his computer management role with the newport police department. chief dvorak was placed on leave — while the situation was being investigated. once newport p-d confirmed he could possess the equipment in question — he was then reinstated. 47 abc reached out to cambridge police — to ask what this equipment was — or why the newport police department was involved — but we’re still waiting for a response. we’ll keep the clouds
