UPDATE: Money officially transferred for Wor-Wic scholarship

crash. in wicomico county — officials have voted to formally transfer money set aside for the wor-wic scholarship fund. however — it’s several thousand dollars less than what was initially approved. this morning — two-hundred and twelve thousand dollars were moved to the community foundation fund. that will go toward students who met the threshold of receiving free tuition from wor-wic. you may recall — the county initially presented a check for the two-hundred and sixty-five thousand dollars last month. we’re told today’s formal transfer — is more in line with the number of students the scholarship would actually apply to. that 53-thousand dollars will now stay in contingency — meaning wor-wic could access it — should they need it for this scholarship. 17:51:14 i don’t see how this is going to impact any of the students. we know there’s a limited amount of students who’s projected by the wor-wic community college and we’re anticipating that these funds will more than cover that amount 23 we’ve been following this story for several months. for a full description of how to qualify for this scholarship — be sure to check it out on our website 47 a-b-c dot
