Tyaskin teen dies in Sharptown crash

Tragic news out of Wicomico County, troopers say a teen has lost their life following a late night crash in Sharptown.
According to members of the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack, they were called to the area of 10850 Sharptown Road around 10:00 PM Monday, for reports for a single car crash. Investigators say, the vehicle, being driven by a 17-year-old Hebron teen, was traveling south on Sharptown Road when he lost control of the vehicle and drove off the roadway hitting a tree, at a high rate of speed.
The teen and his three teen passengers, ranging from ages 14 to 17 were reportedly taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Troopers say, the front seat passenger a 17-year-old from Tyaskin, later died from her injuries at the hospital.
