Two men stopped from burglarizing a Salisbury home

David Wayne Lowe, 39, and Larry Morrise Cozart, 44 both of Salisbury

Salisbury Police say they arrested two men who were in the process of burglarizing a home early Saturday evening.

Around 7 PM, officers reportedly responded to Camden Avenue after a report of a home burglary in progress.

After officers arrived, they apparently saw damage to a side window, and noticed the front door of the home was open. According to the report, when more officers arrived, two men tried to get away on foot out of the back of the home, but officers chased them and caught the suspects quickly.

After investigating, officers were able to identify the suspects as Larry Cozart, 44, and David Lowe, 39.

Lowe was reportedly in possession of stolen property when he ran from the home. Also, while inside, apparently Lowe and Cozart unplugged several electronic items within the home in an attempt to steal these items, but were unable to continue when officers arrived.

Officers say that there was no one home at the time of the burglary, and Lowe and Cozart were arrested without further incident.

Both men were apparently taken to Wicomico County Central Booking where they are being held on no bond, and both were charged with burglary and theft.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Salisbury Police Department at 410-548-3113, or Crime solvers at 410-548-1776.
