Two arrested in Kent County after drug investigation

The Delaware State Police Kent Drug Unit says they have arrested two people after a one month long investigation into illegal drug sales from two homes west of Felton.

On Friday, the Kent County Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Kent County Governor’s Task Force, reportedly executed a search warrant at a home on Sandalwood Drive in Felton.

When detectives arrives, Garry Church, 19, of Felton, was apparently found and taken into custody as he was leaving his home by car. Officials say a search of the car and home resulted in the seizure of over 251 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun.

The investigation also reportedly led detectives to a second address on Cabin Ridge Road, also in Felton where, Allan Dewitt, 21, of Felton, was found and taken into custody. A search of this home was conducted apparently resulting in the seizure of over 91 grams of marijuana, over $2000 in suspected drug sale proceeds, and a handgun.

According to the report, Church was taken to Troop 3 and charged with three counts of drug dealing, possession of tier 1 marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officials say he was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on$21,100 unsecured bond.

Dewitt was reportedly taken to Troop 3 and was charged with drug dealing, possession of a tier 1 marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officials say he was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $7,100 unsecured bond.
